CONNECTIVITY FOR BREAKING NEWS

SATELLITE INTERNET, FOR BREAKING NEWS

We work with broadcasters around the world to cover breaking news stories across the UK. Either with your crew or independently. With over 30 years of experience working with video we’re ideally placed to cover all sorts of stories in all types of locations.

We carry the latest LiveU LU300Se broadcast encoder (with 4G modems) allowing us to send video directly to your MCR wherever in the world you are. We also host our own LiveU LU2000 MMH server in a UK data centre – for live streaming to web locations – YouTube, Facebook etc.

We’re no strangers to broadcast and are equipped with Sony FX9 cameras, Aputure lighting and radio mic and IFB kits.

OUR ADVANTAGE

Our offering is built around low earth orbit satellites, they offer far less latency than older geo-stationary systems. Meaning data / video is sent with less delay. Our flat mount dishes don’t need to orientate themselves, we don’t need to lower stabilisers or wait for the dish to search for the satellite. We can deploy in high winds – where others can’t. Our system is built around multiple dishes which we bond together and then smooth the data – removing the yo-yo effect that is sometime present with LEO systems. When working in areas with 4G services our LiveU units will also use their own data SIMs to add extra bandwidth to the bonded connection. We have invested in the latest HEVC specificed LiveU units, meaning we can send the same quality at 5Mpbs that previously needed a connection of 10Mbps using a H264 model.
